Firefly Conservation
"Lights OFF. Fireflies ON." is an initiative by the University of Georgia Extension that encourages individuals to turn off outdoor lights at night to protect fireflies, as artificial lighting disrupts their mating signals. The program offers educational resources, including safe viewing practices and activities like the Firefly Fact Hunt, to promote firefly conservation and appreciation.
