Which Plant is Which? – An Atlanta Science Festival Event

March 19, 2016 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Bee with pollen bagsDid you know there are more than 250,000 kinds of plants in the world?  There are 50,000 tree species alone!  And every year scientists discover new plants.  So how do people tell the differences between them?  Every plant has leaves, flowers, bark, or other characteristics that make it unique.  Come to this plant classification event at the Atlanta History Center to see how it feels to be a scientist!  Together we will explore some of the “unique” characteristics of plants.  After the event, you’ll be able to classify plants just like a scientist.   This event is led by UGA Fulton County Cooperative Extension agents.
