TITLE:  Chemical Communication in Ants and Potential Uses in Control: The Fire Ant Example and Biology and Management of Common Pest Ants


PRESENTERS:  Dr. Robert Vander Meer (Bob), research scientist and Research Leader of the Imported Fire Ant and Household Insects unit at the USDA-Agricultural Research Service’s Center for Medical, Agricultural and Veterinary Entomology in Gainesville, FL; and Dr. Chow Yan Lee, Professor of Urban Entomology in the School of Biological Sciences at the Universiti Sains Malaysia, in Penang, Malaysia.



Registration Cost:

1-10 participants – $10 per person

11-20 participants – $7.50 per person

Chemical Communication in Ants and Potential Uses in Control: The Fire Ant Example with Dr. Robert Vander Meer (Bob), a world class expert on ant communication. His presentation will highlight chemical communication in ants.


Biology and Management of Common Pest Ants with Dr. Chow Yang Lee, an authority on the biology and management of pest ants, termites, and German cockroaches. In his webinar he will talk about principles of ant baiting.


If you are licensed in one or more of the following states / Provinces listed in this registration form, you will receive credit if you register and attend the entire 2 hour webinar. Please select the states(s)/Provinces(s) to which you would like us to report your participation. For each sate or province where you want CEU/CCU Credit, enter your regulatory agency-provided license number.  Within two weeks of the webinar, certification of your attendance will be provided to the regulatory agency.


Full and active participation in this session is encouraged.

Attendance time IS verified by online reports.

If i am participating in a group setting on one computer, I may be required by email to verify participation of others at the location for auditing purposes.

To receive the two (2) hours credit, each person must register, pay, and attend both sessions.

Speakers, (either internal or plug in) or earphones are required. A microphone is recommended.
